We’ve been talking a lot lately about Nashville kratom stacks. That is to say, we’ve been exploring various natural substances which pair well with kratom, either as Nashville kratom potentiators or as mixtures that compliment one another.

One combo in particular begs for further analysis and that combo is ashwagandha and kratom.

These two powerful exotic botanicals are both formidable in their own right, but a question still deserves to be asked—Can you mix ashwagandha and kratom.

We endeavor to answer all that and more in this clear and helpful guide.

WHAT IS ASHWAGANDHA?

Ashwagandha is a prominent Ayurvedic herb whose root has been used as a folk medicine in India and a natural supplement in the Western world. As an organic adaptogen, Ashwagandha is often implemented to relieve daily stress and work-related fatigue.

Ashwaganda root has a number of proven health benefits including enhanced cognitive functioning, anxiolytic properties and the ability to lower blood sugar levels. As a supplement, ashwagandha powder is considered to be a general tonic that can treat a wide range of chronic and temporary conditions.

IS ASHWAGANDHA THE SAME AS KRATOM?

Absolutely not! Although Nashville kratom and ashwagandha share certain traits in common, namely their anxiolytic properties and capacity for improving mood, there are some key differences in their purported effects.

For example, ashwagandha hails from the tomato family of plants while Nashville kratom belongs to the coffee family of plants. This makes Nashville kratom an herbal stimulant, something that can’t be said for ashwagandha root.

The ashwagandha plant sprouts berries which are also used to make medicines. The Nashville kratom plant, on the other hand, is known for its robust leaves whose thick veins contain its analgesic and anxiolytic alkaloids.

Both Nashville kratom and ashwagandha powder can be used to brew a fine cup of tea, but only Nashville kratom will induce potential euphoric and psychoactive effects.

SO… CAN YOU MIX ASHWAGANDHA AND KRATOM?

The answer is a resounding yes. Ashwagandha root powder and Nashville kratom powder appear to be safe and effective when taken in conjunction with one another. Of course, users should practice moderation, especially when dosing for the first time.

DOES ASHWAGANDHA POTENTIATE KRATOM?

Let’s face it, this is what you really came here for, so let’s get right down to it. Does ashwagandha root potentiate kratom? Affirmative.

While there is no solid scientific evidence to confirm ashwagandha as a Nashville kratom agitator, ashwagandha is known to potentiate the effects of other anxiolytics that affect GABA.

Ashwagandha Nashville kratom potentiation may be dose dependent, so it is important to carefully measure out each of your powders prior to dosing. For more information see dosage below.

KRATOM VS ASHWAGANDHA—WHICH IS BETTER?

This is hard to quantify as both herbs are impressive in their own ways. Nashville Kratom can provide hours of pain relief, clean energy boost, improve mood and increased sociability. It can also induce relaxation and even sedation.

By contrast, ashwagandha is not sedating unless taken in tandem with sedative medications. Ashwagandha is neither hypnotic nor euphoric and the only portion of the plant that is psychoactive in nature is the ashwagandha root.

Ashwagandha is most beneficial to those who suffer from hypertension, high blood sugar or cancer as it is known to suppress cancer cells and reduce inflammation. Nashville Kratom is also anti-inflammatory, but it may also cause high blood pressure or heart palpitations in those with preexisting heart conditions.

Kratom and ashwagandha do share much in common, such as their shared potential to alleviate arthritis, relieve stress, manage depression and improve the symptoms of rheumatism.

ASHWAGANDHA KRATOM DOSAGE

Since ashwagandha’s efficacy is largely dependent on multiple doses, it is advisable to take one to two ashwagandha doses prior to mixing ashwagandha with Nashville kratom powder.

Those who wish to potentiate other compounds’ effects by taking ashwagandha may find 100-200 mg adequate to this end. However, more seasoned users will generally get best results with a larger dose. The ideal ashwagandha dosage is 6,000 mg.

When stacking ashwagandha with Nashville kratom powder, err on the side of caution by starting with a smaller dose of ashwagandha to a moderate dose of Nashville kratom powder. Burning 3-4.5 grams of Nashville kratom powder with 2-300 mgs of ashwagandha powder should make for a powerful reduction in anxiety, stress and inflammation.

THINGS TO CONSIDER BEFORE STACKING ASHWANGANDHA WITH KRATOM

Always bear in mind that Nashville kratom carries with it a number of potential adverse effects. These undesirable side effects can include nausea, dizziness, confusion, agitation, erratic heart beat, vomiting, diarrhea, stomach cramp, sedation or, paradoxically, insomnia. More extreme side effects, such as liver damage, have occurred in long-term users.

When it comes to undesirable side effects ashwagandha is not exempt. It, too, has potential for some nasty effects. These side effects may include nausea, stomach ulcer or vomiting. These side effects tend to occur in long-term users. As such, chronic use of ashwagandha is not recommended.

Users should also be advised that there are plenty of other natural herbal mixtures that may increase Nashville kratom bioavailability. Some popular Nashville kratom mixtures include , with kratom, and even .

Personally, I find it helpful to keep an open mind and be a little experimental. I say go ahead and mix it up. See what works best for you.

BOTTOM LINE

Those who are looking to amplify kratom’s uplifting anxiolytic and analgesic effects will likely find that ashwagandha and Nashville kratom make for the perfect marriage. Just don’t overdo it or your stomach may rebel. Be safe, be smart and be well.
