"I had the title 'Insecure' in my phone and I didn't know how I wanted to write it. I was like, 'Maybe this is not going to be a song,' because I didn't want to write a song about being insecure, you know?" RaeLynn tells ET.

But a chance encounter alongside her husband, Josh Davis, provided a perfect creative spark.

"I was out with Josh and I kinda got insecure about this girl that was checking him out or whatever, and I remember getting in the car and doing the thing that girls always do -- 'Do you think she's prettier than me?' 'Do you think she's cooler than me?'" she recalls. "He was like, 'Babe, I don't look at anybody but you. She doesn't count to me. You're the only girl that I see.' Something about him saying that, I figured out the way I wanted to write this song."

RaeLynn co-wrote the song with fellow The Voice alum Nicolle Galyon and Jimmy Robbins.

"I wanted this song to be like a pep talk, like, 'Don't get insecure. He's not into her. She's playing dirty all flirty from across the room. You might think that girl's a 10, but she doesn't count to him,'" she says, reciting the song's chorus. "I love that line in the song because it's so true. I know that I have girl crushes! When a girl walks in, I'll be like, 'Damn, she looks good!' and I'm like, 'I wonder what he thinks about her?' But when you find a man that's in love with you, they don't even look at her. They just see you."
